Regulations                                                               


Article 1 Academies, cultural, social and research centres, universities and other institutions, as well as those celebrities whom the City invites, may submit reasoned proposal of candidates for the Convivence Award of the Autonomous City of Ceuta.

 

Article 2 The following documentation should be included in the proposals for candidates:

1.- Formal proposal, containing the reasons for submitting the candidature.

2.- Curriculum vitae of the candidate.

 

Article 3 The term and form of submitting candidates will be notified in each edition*.

 

Article 4 Candidates who do not fulfil the above requirements will not be admitted. In all cases, the documentation submitted will not be returned, and no correspondence will be maintained about it.

 

Article 5 The Jury will be formed of members appointed by the City and will count on the figure of a Chairman, chosen from among its members by the persons who form it, and a Secretary appointed y the City. At its first meeting, the Secretary will declare the Jury formed and will proceed to appoint the Chairman.
The Chairman will lead the discussions and, when applicable, any voting that takes place, and the Secretary will interpret the present Regulations and draw up the minutes of the meetings.

 

Article 6 Votes shall be cast personally by each member of the Jury during the meetings that the Jury has formally called. The award will be granted to the candidate who obtains the majority of votes by the Jury. In the event of a draw, the Chairman’s vote shall be casting vote.

 

Article 7 The awards will be handed out on the Day of Convivence.

 

Article 8 No posthumous candidature may be submitted, or candidatures by members of the Assembly of the Autonomous City of Ceuta. Each award will be granted to a single person, work group or institution. In exceptional cases, it may be shared when the merits of the proposed persons, groups or institutions are very clearly complemented.

 

Article 9 The International Ceuta Autonomous City Convivence Award consists of a diploma, a distinguishing symbol representing the award and a cash prize of 30,000 €.
To receive the diploma, the symbol and prize money, the award winner must be present at the prize giving ceremony. The award winner will give a speech in the course of this ceremony.
